Chloë Grace Moretz Reveals She’s Gay While Supporting Kamala Harris

Actress Chloë Grace Moretz reveals she is gay with support from Kamala Harris on Instagram Saturday night. “As a queer woman, I believe in the need for legal protections that protect the LGBTQ+ community,” she wrote. “We need protection in this country and access to the care we need and deserve.”

Moretz wrote in full: “I voted early and voted for Kamala Harris. There is so much at stake in this election. “As a woman, I believe that the state has no right over my body and that decisions about my body should come ONLY from me and my doctor.”

“Kamala Harris will protect this for us. As a queer woman, I believe in the need for legal protections to protect the LGBTQ+ community. “We need protection in this country and access to the care we need and deserve.”

Moretz also appeared in 2018 “The Miseducation of Cameron Post” as a young girl sent to a conversion therapy camp. He described the experience to TheWrap as “method without choosing the method,” adding, “I’ve never been this engrained in a character. I was always able to walk and go to a different house, but literally finishing a scene and walking down the hall to your room; It’s a different world to live in.”

He also stated that production began during the Obama administration, but shooting was completed during the Trump administration. “This movie went from being so important to us and our community to being the highest form of activism that we could do, spreading that message and being able to give that to young people, especially young gay people, to be represented in that way,” Moretz said, “In the current state of America, this movie is a light in many ways.” and it is a ray of hope,” he explained.

In a separate interview with Deadline, Moretz also said: “I’ve been an activist for the LGBT community since I was little, I have two gay brothers in my family.”
