The remains of a body and two pets were found by San Diego County Sheriff’s deputies and firefighters at the scene of a trailer fire in Ramona.

Sheriff’s deputies and Cal Fire responded to a rural home fire near Cinnamon Rock Road and Starlight Mountain Road Saturday evening.

After extinguishing the fire that completely burned the residential trailer, firefighters found the remains of a person and what appeared to be two dogs, authorities said. The victim has not been identified.

Detectives from the sheriff’s bomb and arson unit and homicide units are investigating the incident.
