A woman seriously injured her husband’s first wife by stabbing her more than 50 times after an argument in Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa district. A chilling video of the incident has emerged showing the accused Mansi stabbing Jaya multiple times.

According to police, 22-year-old Mansi and 26-year-old Jaya are married to a man named Rambabu Verma. The incident took place on October 31, Diwali, when Mansi and Jaya had an argument over an issue, which later turned violent.

In anger, Mansi stabbed Jaya more than 50 times. In the video of the bloody incident, Mansi can be seen standing next to Jaya, who was lying injured in blood after the attack. Mansi can also be seen kicking Jaya’s face and mistreating her.

India Today is not sharing the video of the incident due to the graphic nature of the content.

Jaya, whose condition was stated to be critical, was taken to the hospital.

The police team arrived at the scene upon tip-off about the incident and arrested Mansi from the relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhiata (BNS).

According to police, Jaya married Rambabu Verma in 2019. However, due to his poor health, Verma married Mansi in 2021.

Speaking about the case, senior police official Udit Mishra said that a case has been registered. Mishra told the media: “Rambabu’s first wife Jaya was frequently unwell, which led him to marry Manasi. We are awaiting a statement from the victim to contribute to our investigation.”
