LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (KCTV) – A Lawrence, Kansas man took a victory lap around Disney over the weekend after winning the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon in Florida.

Walt Disney World Resort On Sunday, November 3, Lawrence announced that Kansas runner Josh Baden had wrapped up his family vacation with a win. Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon.

Disney officials stated that Baden overcame all difficulties by competing against thousands of runners. Surrounded by confetti and cheers from spectators and characters, he crossed the finish line in 1 hour and 16 minutes.

This was Baden’s third. to runDisney Officials at the event noted that this was the first half marathon win at Disney World. Runners enjoyed fun along the 8.1-mile course at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.

“I definitely came out wanting to win,” Baden said. “It’s great to finally win an award to runDisney race.”

Disney said 2024 marks the 15th anniversary of the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend. Of the thousands of runners who have competed each year since the event’s inception, 98 were rated “excellent.”

Sunday’s half marathon is the final race of a three-race weekend that includes the 5K and 10K, as well as the Disney Two-Track Challenge (10K and half marathon) and the After-Race party, officials said.
