Darryn Kimlin left the Lamington Bridge boat ramp in Maryborough, about 200 kilometers north of Brisbane, at 10am on Saturday.

The fisherman, who was traveling on a five-metre fiberglass half-cabin boat named Tamarumma, was expected to return at noon yesterday but never returned.

The last time Kimlin spoke to his family around 3:50 p.m. Saturday, he said he was fishing at the mouth of the Granville River in Beaver Rock.

He was described as Caucasian, approximately 180 centimeters tall, of slim build, with brown-blond hair and blue eyes, and was wearing a long-sleeved fishing shirt and board shorts.

“Police and his family have serious concerns about Darryn as his disappearance is out of character,” police said in a statement.

Anyone with information about the disappearance should call police.
