Good morning! A cold start with overnight lows dropping into the 20s and 30s. Today will be sunny with less wind. Stays cooler with highs near 50/low 50s.

We hope you get another hour of sleep as our clocks go back during the night. That means earlier sunset tonight. As the days get shorter, we lose approximately 2.5 minutes of daylight. Our earliest sunset comes at 16:11 on December 5-11. We are back to sunsets at 5pm in February.

It will be cold again tonight, with mostly clear skies and a light breeze. Morning lows will be similar to the one we woke up with this morning. Tomorrow will look different with more clouds. We will have light winds. Highs will be near average with lows in the 50s. Normal highs are in the mid/upper 50s in early November.

Today and tomorrow are good days to get some work done outside. The wind will blow hard again on Tuesday and Wednesday. This will again increase fire weather concerns due to our very dry conditions and high winds.

Speaking of dry conditions, the chance of rain this week is minimal. Rain favors northern New England late Monday and into Tuesday. The chance of showers to our south on Friday is about 10%.

We will have another update on our drought conditions on Thursday. Approximately 84% of Massachusetts is abnormally dry. Moreover, nearly 14% of the state is facing moderate or severe drought.
