In the women’s 20-seat 2000 meters race, in which there were only two participants, the Philippines (10:42.31) won the gold medal by beating Canada (10:48.64).

The Filipinos were guaranteed the overall championship in the 27-nation field.

As recently as Friday, when they won eight gold medals, they had already surpassed the 5-1-2 finish at the 2018 edition in Gainesville, Georgia.

Second-placed Thailand has eight gold medals; Individual Neutral Athletes (Russians and Belarusians) won the gold medal with 6-3-3 and Ukraine with 5-0-1.
