Kuwait launches electronic registration for Hajj, setting strict criteria for pilgrims for the first time

The ministry has set various conditions for registration in order to prioritize first-time pilgrims and ensure organized participation.

Kuwaiti citizens who have not performed Hajj before can apply, with the group size limited to three people, including relatives.

Each group may include a noncitizen companion, such as a Kuwaitis spouse or mother, as well as a foreign companion, such as a resident spouse or child.

Stateless individuals (Bedouns) who have not performed the Hajj before can also apply with similar group size limitations. Bedin applicants can add a resident companion such as a wife or mother, as well as a Kuwaiti companion, and must have a valid security card.

Each registrant is required to pay 750 Kuwaiti dinars to confirm participation, and transfers between caravans are allowed once, with a deadline of December 31, 2024. Applicants are also allowed to substitute or replace participants during the registration period.

Registrants will be classified by age; People aged 60 and over will be in the first category, people aged 35-59 will be in the second category, and people aged 34 and under will be in the third category.

The Ministry stated that the full fee will be refunded to applicants who cancel before December 31, and that for cancellations made after this date, the prepayment will be lost unless the canceled quota is filled.
