After trusting Carla Connor (Alison King) Saying her injuries were from a collision with a thief’s getaway car, DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) protected her daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin) by lying that her bruises were from an office accident.

Lisa later argues with Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) once again, while Carla is interrogated by her nephew Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll) about her own shrewd behavior.

At the factory, Betsy told Carla that she knew Lisa was still lying about her bruises, and that she couldn’t get over her suspicion that her mother killed Joel. Carla then took it upon herself to tell Betsy the truth.

Meanwhile, at the police station, Lisa continued to focus on searching for local red cars due to paint being found on the damaged car she was investigating.

Despite being off the case, Lisa suggested to DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) that Joel’s belongings should be stored somewhere if he was on the run before the murder.

Without crediting Lisa, Kit expanded the search on the river and ordered PC Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) to report to him and him alone.

Later, when Lisa heard that a complaint had been made against her, she became enraged and confronted Kit and Daisy. However, after Lisa handed over her phones as evidence, it was revealed that Betsy was behind the complaint.

Betsy was horrified for her mother’s safety when she heard she had been injured in the line of duty, and tearfully confided her concerns to Lisa.

Lisa resolved the complaint issue and finally decided to take a break before going on an apology tour with Kit to clear the air.

He promised to apologize to Daisy too, before doing the same to Carla, who he encouraged to intervene in his life whenever she wanted!

While saying goodbye to Kit, Lisa told him that the person who hit the car might have witnessed Joel’s murder.

Blinded, Kit returned to work, where he picked up a log of red cars, including his own. Did Kit witness the murder while deleting the records of his name and vehicle, or did he kill Joel himself?
