HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) – Serious injuries were reported after a hit-and-run in Hartford Thursday evening.

Authorities said units responded to the area of ​​180 Franklin Avenue around 5:59 p.m., on a report of a car-pedestrian crash.

When crews arrived at the scene, they found an adult male who had been struck by the vehicle. After the incident, the vehicle fled the scene.

The seriously injured man was taken to hospital.

An investigation is active.
