MONROE, La. (KNOE) – Louisiana State Police say a man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Oak Grove on Thursday, October 31.

Jimmy Densmore, 69, died when his Ford F-350 crashed into a Freightliner box truck, authorities said.

According to LSP, Densmore drove through a stop sign at the intersection of LA Hwy. 1268 and US Hwy. 165 caused his vehicle to crash at a time when it was not safe to do so.

Police said Densmore was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Freightliner was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

The cause of the accident is being investigated.
