A man was seriously injured after being struck by a bull in Holding County Wednesday morning, according to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the call around 9:14 a.m. in the 1600 block of County Road 52. There, a caller told authorities that a 45-year-old man had been mauled by a bull and was still in the pen with the animal.

When deputies arrived, they found the man lying in the cattle pen, the bull now safe in a separate pen.

The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
