ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – The Owatonna Police Department (OPD) arrested Derek Paul Denelsbeck following a hit-and-run that killed Taylor Dean Padilla-Ades of Lonsdale, MN.

OPD responded to County Road 45 N where Padilla-Ades was killed in a hit-and-run crash.

Later Wednesday, OPD located the vehicle involved in the crash and arrested the owner, Denelsbeck.

Denelsbeck is currently being held in the Steele County Detention Center and faces a charge of criminal vehicular homicide by leaving the scene of an accident.

He is expected to be formally charged on November 1.
