Actress Tabu fascinated the audience at the premiere of her highly anticipated TV series Dune: Prophecy in New York. The series, which is a prequel to Denis Villeneuve’s acclaimed Dune films, has created great expectation. Dune Prophecy will also mark Tabu’s Hollywood debut.

This piece showcases the revival of Abu Sandeep’s iconic ‘Crushed Silk’ collection, a design born purely by chance. Made from pure Khadi silk, the fabric has a charming, crushed texture that flows with a sumptuous, almost oceanic quality.

This unique texture comes from a signature technique developed almost thirty-eight years ago and closely guarded ever since.

Featuring over fifty meters of silk meticulously stitched into the dress, this dress elegantly blends elements of Indian heritage with Western style for a look that is both timeless and contemporary.

Tabu attended the event alongside her co-stars Emily Watson, Olivia Williams and Travis Fimmel, adding to the star-studded atmosphere. Together, they celebrated the launch of the series, which promises to explore the origins of the Dune universe in a way that will thrill fans and critics alike.
