Siaya – Detectives Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) arrested two female suspects in connection with the murder of Wells Fargo Human Resources Manager Willis Ayieko, who was recently found murdered.

During the operation, officers recovered a stolen Ceska pistol belonging to Ayieko, which was key evidence that could further the investigation into her tragic death.

In an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.keNyanza District DCI Coordinator Lenny Kisaka confirmed that a third male suspect managed to escape during a police operation in Wagai, Gem sub-county on Tuesday, October 29.

It was reported that the suspect escaped with a gunshot wound after the conflict with law enforcement officers.

“We received intelligence about a planned robbery on the Luanda-Siaya Road, which led us to set a trap to capture the suspects,” Kisaka explained.

The coordinated police team stopped a private sedan car with plate number KDN 948 B. A conflict broke out when those inside tried to escape.

“The suspects fired into the air and our officers responded by deflating their vehicle’s tires, forcing them off the road,” Kisaka said. he said.

The male suspect fled on foot into nearby bush and eventually rode a motorcycle, while the female suspects were captured.

Officers recovered a Ceska pistol with 11 rounds of ammunition, identified by serial numbers matching Ayieko’s missing gun.

This recovery points to the gun’s potential connection to other criminal activities. Following the incident, police deployed tracking dogs, which led them to a hiding place near the scene.

“Despite these efforts, the injured suspect managed to evade capture again, but we captured the second female suspect and recovered her forest police uniform, believed to have been used in robberies along the Kisumu-Busia Highway,” Kisaka said.

He urged the public to be careful and to seek medical attention for anyone suffering gunshot wounds.

“We encourage community members to contact DCI via Fichua number 08100722203 if they observe anything suspicious,” Kisaka said. he added.

Addressing friends and relatives of Willis Ayieko, Kisaka assured;

“We are treating this as a serious criminal case and everyone involved will be brought to justice.”

With the latest arrests, the total number of suspects detained in connection with Ayieko’s murder has increased to three following the arrest of Victor Okoth in Dandora. Nairobi.

Okoth is currently on trial at the Siaya Civil Courts.
