WASHINGTON (Gray DC) – Vice President Kamala Harris delivered her campaign closing speech in Washington on Tuesday, urging Americans to “turn the page” on the Trump era.

“You will have the opportunity to make a decision that will directly affect your life, the life of your family and the future of this country we love,” he said. “And this will probably be the most important vote you’ve ever cast.”

The rally was held at the Ellipse park south of the White House, where the former president addressed supporters before marching to the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

“We know who Donald Trump is,” the vice president said. “He is the person who stood on this very spot almost four years ago and sent an armed mob to the U.S. Capitol to overturn the will of the people in a free and fair election.”

The Harris campaign said more than 75,000 supporters showed up for the rally.

One of them was Cody Ingraham, who thought holding the rally at the Ellipse was symbolic for the campaign.

“Same place as the Stop the Steal rally at the end of the Trump administration. “For me personally, I think the fight to save democracy is the most important issue on the table,” he said.

Anika Elias, who lives in Virginia, also attended the rally because she wanted to show both her support for Harris and her disapproval of the former president.

“It’s really important for me to be at this rally because I think Donald Trump is one of the worst things that could happen to this country,” Elias said. “And I think Kamala Harris has very practical solutions, really great policies, and she’s a great leader.”

While Harris spent much of her speech comparing herself to former President Trump, she also talked about what policies she would have for the country if elected.

“My presidency will be different because the challenges we face are different. Four years ago, our top priority as a nation was to end the pandemic and save the economy. Now our biggest challenge is to reduce costs, which were rising before the pandemic and are still very high. I get it,” he said.

Other priorities Harris mentioned include protecting women’s reproductive rights, working to pass the bipartisan border security bill that failed in Congress earlier this year, tax cuts for working and middle class, allowing Medicare to cover home care costs, and strengthening is taking. America’s global leadership.

Harris also vowed to work across the aisle and listen to those who disagree with her.
