LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A woman died in a crash in Harrison County on Monday, October 21, according to police.

According to the Harrison County Sheriff, a Harrison County Deputy responded to a rear-end crash involving a truck and a car on Highway 64 in New Salisbury, IN, around 8:20 p.m.

The driver of the truck was not injured, but the driver of the car was seriously injured and received CPR from firefighters at the scene before being transported to Harrison County Hospital. The woman was later airlifted to UofL Hospital, where she died from her injuries, authorities said.

The woman was identified as Vicki Trowbridge of New Salisbury.

While the investigation into the accident continues, findings from reconstruction efforts are awaited.
