The mystery woman found brutally murdered Monday at a Hamptons spa and resort full of stars including Kate Hudson and Katie Couric has been identified as a New York artist.

Sabina Rosas, 33, from Brooklyn. found dead in guest room Shou Sugi was the apparent victim of a still-unspecified act of violence at the Ban House, Suffolk County police said Tuesday.

Details of Rosas’ death remained unclear more than a day after a spa employee found her body in one of 13 private guest studios at the luxury resort in Water Mill, an upscale village in the town of Southampton on Long Island.

The shocking murder belied the tranquil atmosphere created by the $1,000-a-night spa on a quiet stretch of Montauk Highway and stunned locals.

“This is very uncharacteristic of this area, especially this area,” said Jean Wong, 56.

“It’s so ironic because you go to a place like this to relax and unwind. What could have caused the murder?

A Buddha statue stood at the end of the long gravel driveway leading to the resort, which was cordoned off with crime scene tape Tuesday afternoon.

A Suffolk County Police Department crime scene van and a Southampton Town police car pulled into the road around 4 p.m. and left a half hour later.

Police did not provide details about what brought Rosas to the facility.

Rosas himself appears to have led a somewhat nomadic life, often affected by political upheavals while pursuing creative endeavors.

Her husband, who splits his time between Coney Island and Miami, had flown from Florida on Tuesday to speak with police on Long Island about her death and her roommate. he told the New York Daily News.

“I think everyone is in shock,” the roommate said.

The report confirmed that Rosas is an artist who is part of the nonprofit Harvestworks’ 2021 Technology Immersion Program.

His biography on the nonprofit’s website states that he originally came from Tajikistan but fled to Turkmenistan in the midst of civil war following the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1993.

According to his biography, he moved to Crimea in 2000 and returned to Tajikistan in 2003, where he studied painting.

According to the biography, Rosas moved to the United States in 2009 to study art and came to Forest Hills a year later. He graduated from Purchase College with a bachelor’s degree in new media.

Rosas spent last year in her native Tajikistan, her husband’s roommate told the Daily News.

The murder brought about the kind of attention and fear foreign to many Hamptons residents.

“I’ve driven by before and seen these news trucks and was like, ‘Oh, what did Justin Timberlake do this time?’ I thought. because the only thing newsworthy here is celebrity-related,” said Lisa Stach, 43.

“This isn’t the kind of town that has a lot of murders, so it’s very shocking. I feel so bad for the victim and his family,” Stach added. “It makes you think, ‘If you’re not safe there, where are you safe?’
