ATLANTA (WSAV) — The Atlanta Police Department responded to a report of a barricaded gunman near the Four Seasons Hotel in Midtown Atlanta on Tuesday.

Local Atlanta news outlets reported that the suspect had been captured.

Around 2 p.m., a call came in regarding the suspect, prompting a heavy response from law enforcement.

The hotel is located below Piedmont Park and not far from Colony Square mall, which is a high-traffic area.

Several roads were closed and a shelter-in-place order was issued. The shelter-in-place order has since been lifted.
