Canada’s Rocky Mountain published a new one Instinct Power Play SL Last week we introduced the eMTB range with six different flavours, three carbon and three alloy models. The new Instinct Power Play SL features the Dyname S4 ​​Lite engine, which helps keep these bikes leaner. The powertrain is said to be “smooth, light and efficient” and delivers 550W of maximum power and 65Nm of torque.

Lighter than “full power” eMTBs, the Instinct Power Play SL has a 480Wh battery with a range that “rivals full power eMTBs.” Weighing in at 43 lbs (C90 model size LG), the Instinct Power Play SL may be lighter than full-power eMTBs.

Combining this with the mid-high pivot and Smoothlink suspension design, “riders can expect increased mid-stroke support and small bump compliance, resulting in a lively ride feel.” The bikes roll with 150mm front and 145mm rear travel numbers. The standard bikes in all sizes except the XS are 29/29″ (and MX compatible), while the XS comes standard with 27.5″ wheels.

This new range of bikes comes with other unique features like the Reach Adjustment headset. This allows the rider to set your bike on center or with +/- 5mm offset. MX wheel compatible with Rocky Mountain’s special linkage in sizes SM-XL.

The bikes also come with the RIDE-4 tuning system, where the rider can quickly adjust the geometry by turning an Allen wrench.
