Aggies running back Le’Veon Moss caught third down but fumbled, and LSU was there to make up for the mistake. A&M added a 15-yard personal foul that set up the Tigers’ 21st point. LSU capitalized on the mistake with a 2-yard touchdown pass from Garrett Nussmeier to tight end Mason Taylor to increase the lead to 10-0.

Following punts on every offensive play, including a Tigers three-and-out, LSU found a rhythm on second possession. He drove eight plays and 86 yards and added three scores and took an early 3-0 lead.
