CLIFTON SPRINGS, NY — A man is in jail after deputies say he assaulted hospital staff at the Clifton Springs Hospital Emergency Room.

Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies arrested and charged Dante Gile with assault. Investigators said Thursday that Gile was obstructing hospital staff from doing their jobs. Deputies said Gile “made threats, physically fought, and attempted to bite staff.” As a result, many nurses and security guards were injured.

Gile is being held in the Ontario County Jail awaiting trial.
