PHILADELPHIA – Police are investigating after violence broke out in West Philadelphia early Sunday morning.

A 30-year-old man suffered a stab wound to the neck in the dining room at 5300 Walnut Street just before 10 a.m.

He was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

According to authorities, a 22-year-old woman was detained for further investigation.

A pair of scissors was seized from the scene.
