Taking a trip to your local farm—whether it’s real or a makeshift one where pumpkins, some hay bales, and a bounce house take up the parking lot for a few weeks—has become a rite of passage for families on Halloween, and many of them are celebrity-affiliated.

Even before Instagram, stars from the A-list to the stay-out-of-my-way list could be seen grinning flawlessly while aggressively making memories in pumpkin patches across the country (or just those near Los Angeles). However, since social media came into play, this phenomenon has grown a lot.
