“Help Us Trust Your Timing”: Deshaun Watson’s Girlfriend Writes a Heartfelt Prayer for Browns QB Days After Gruesome Injury

Deshaun Watson has his back against the wall this season. At first, Cleveland was winless, as they lost five straight games under his leadership, leaving the team at the bottom of the league. To make matters worse, the quarterback suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in a game against the Bengals.

Before his injury, Watson had the league’s lowest passer rating and the Browns’ offense struggled so much under him that they failed to muster 20 points in a game. Mishaps like these make everyone want to hang up their cleats. But that’s not the case for Watson or his girlfriend, Jilly Anais, who remains hopeful and true to her beliefs.

Anais wrote a heartfelt message for her boyfriend on Instagram. Alongside a cute photo of him and Watson kissing, the music artist also affirmed his faith in God as he prayed for a speedy recovery. “I come today with boldness and faith, knowing that you are the God of excess.” wrote Anais.

He also referred to the following verses from the Bible: “Now to him who can do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that works within us.”

Anais also continued to instill hope in her quarterback partner for the future, placing his trust in God’s hands.

“Just like Ephesians 3:20 says: You have lined up for us more than we could ever imagine. Teach us to relax while we wait, trusting that you are working behind the scenes. Pencil your eyes to see your hand with each step. Help us trust your timing by knowing you have it. We are ready for the blessings you have planned for us.”

It looks like Anais’ prayers are already paying off, and the latest developments regarding Watson’s condition have come like daylight.

Deshaun Watson underwent successful surgery

Recent news regarding the Achilles injury of the Browns’ quarterback, who underwent successful surgery on Friday, has brought optimism to the team. Watson is expected to make a full recovery, but it could take up to 9 months for him to return to the field.

According to reports, the surgery was performed by Charlotte-based foot and ankle specialist Dr. Performed by Bob Anderson. official team statement.

Watson has been under fire for his poor performance this season, throwing for 1,148 yards, five touchdowns and completing 137 of 216 passes. These statistics paint a grim picture, considering the point guard’s generous $230 million fully guaranteed contract.

For now, Jameis Winston will fill the QB1 role for the Week 8 game against the Baltimore Ravens.
