I spent time with my two prosthetic legs former President Donald Trump Over the past eight years, on Air Force One, at Mar-a-Lago, on campaign trails, in the White House and on Capitol Hill. Based on this experience, if you say Trump doesn’t care about veterans, wounded warriors, or our men and women in uniform, I can tell you this.

I speak because I know Trump. He is larger than life and battle tested, but his heart is always with the soldiers. Whether he hugs you or shakes your hand, he won’t brush you off. He looks you in the eye and takes the time to learn about your experiences and background because he wants to put America and Americans first, especially those who wear the uniform.

Trump spent many campaign flights asking how I got injured and About the veterans I healed with at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He asks about my prosthesis, whether I have any pain, and how I am coping with it. He constantly asks what veterans at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) are saying and where the department can perform better. He’s asked my opinion countless times about the best nonprofits that help veterans and fill gaps where the VA falls short.

THE VOICE OF THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATOR, WHO RECEIVED THE MEDAL OF HONOR, SOUNDS: ‘WE HAVE COMPLETELY LOST RESPECT ACROSS THE WORLD’

These conversations took place in flight, over Big Macs and fries between campaign stops, or between plates of his mother’s meatballs at Mar-a-Lago, with James Brown, Pavarotti or Elvis blaring in the background. In every interaction, I saw a commander in chief who believed: The people of the army are more important more than the army’s equipment.

Once, during a crowded event at Mar-a-Lago, he pulled me aside and told me about a fellow athlete who was in serious pain from an injury. My friend was considering amputation, and Trump asked me to contact him and share my story and help him determine the best course of action.

Trump is the guy who asked if he could grab my bag before Trump got off Force One because he knows climbing those steep stairs with a prosthetic is no small task. He was the man at the Iowa State Fair who told me to lean on his shoulder when necessary because standing for long periods of time could be painful.

I can tell countless personal stories about Trump that demonstrate his respect for our warriors, from Gold Star mothers to wounded veterans. So if you attend any Trump rally around the country, you’ll see a veteran like me ready to give Trump his Purple Heart.

Sometimes you’ll see a veteran ask Trump to scratch former President Barack Obama’s or President Joe Biden’s name off his retirement papers and sign his own. We want to do this because Trump is fighting to make America worthy of our sacrifice.

So no matter what false narrative Democrats and the media try to sell you, know this: Trump doesn’t want us to be suckers who give life and limb to serve a country we love, but that doesn’t show us the return of love. He wants America to be a country for which each of us would be willing to lay down our lives without regret.

The truth is that America’s administration under Vice President Kamala Harris and President Biden is not worthy of our soldiers, sailors, airmen and sailors. Soldiers were expelled for refusing to be vaccinated under their watch, but illegal immigrants are free to enter. These same illegal immigrants then get free room and board, funded by American taxpayers, while the veterans sleep on the street. This is not the America I shed my blood for, and this is certainly not the America my friends died for in war.

The biggest slap in the face to every soldier currently in uniform is having a cognitively deficient Biden as commander in chief. He should not be making decisions for green plastic army toys, nor should he be making life-or-death decisions for our nation’s most elite warriors. It is a message sent to our soldiers that they are disposable every day they are on duty.

Donald Trump, on the other hand, treats our men and women in uniform with far more respect than President Biden or Vice President Harris. Trump knows their lives matter, so he will make America great again and worthy of their sacrifice.
