After giving Sabrina Carpenter a few compliments, Taylor Swift picked up her phone and called the singer to the stage.

From being a fan of the Love Story singer to one of her closest friends, Sabrina Carpenter has developed a deep bond with Taylor Swift over the years. Not only did she have the chance to meet her idol, but she also shared the stage with Taylor Swift on the iconic Eras Tour. Most recently, Swift invited Sabrina Carpenter to join her for a surprise duet at her New Orleans concert.

They performed Espresso, among many other songs, and the crowd went into a complete frenzy. It all started when Swift addressed the cheering crowd and said, “I think I’m going to do something completely different tonight, which is to sing a song that’s not mine but about someone I really love.” After giving Sabrina Carpenter a few compliments, she received a phone call and called the singer to share her admiration. “I’m in a place where people are screaming very loudly. “Can you come to the stadium real quick? How long will it take you to park the ball?” Carpenter responded and eventually took the stage.

Both singers were in harmony, starting with an acoustic version of Espresso. “It’s really a day off. On tour. It’s so crazy that she came to perform for us,” Swift said at the end of their duet.

Later, Sabrina Carpenter expressed her gratitude with a heartfelt post for Taylor Swift. “The only scene I want to see on a free day!!!! Thank you for working late, thank you for being a singer, and thank you for having me Taylor Swift I love you!!” he wrote. In her post, she also shared videos and pictures of their performance in New Orleans. It’s worth noting that Carpenter previously performed as a supporting performer on Swift’s Eras Tour. He participated in shows in Mexico, Argentina, Japan, Brazil, Australia and Singapore.
