Governor Yusuf mourns death of speaker’s son — News — The Guardian Nigeria News – Nigeria and World News

It was a sad moment for the family of Sadiq Sanusi Bature, son of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf Spokesperson Sanusi Ahmad Bature Dawakin-Tofa, after his death in India.

Sadiq, 15, was confirmed dead on Thursday last week, just days after he underwent a successful bone marrow transplant at a hospital in India. The young and intelligent man had suffered from sickle cell anemia since his birth and eventually succumbed to this noble calling in his best times.

“This morning I lost my first child, Sadiq (Modibbo) Bature, aged 15. He lived as a good, intelligent and obedient child. Modibbo, who has had sickle cell anemia throughout his life, underwent a successful bone marrow transplant at an Indian hospital this month.
Dawakin-Tofa, in his post on his official social media page, unfortunately passed away as a result of complications in his brain after surgery.

Sadiq’s body was brought to Nigeria on Saturday and he was buried the same day in his hometown, Dawakin-Tofa, Kano, in accordance with Islamic rites.

Meanwhile, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf expressed his deep condolences to the family on the demise of young Sadiq at the Indian hospital.

Governor Yusuf, in his condolence message to the Director General of Media and Publicity, Government House, Kano, described the losses as the saddest, while urging his spokesman, Dawakin-Tofa, to take solace in the mighty destiny of God Almighty in the return of Sadiq among us. From God’s mercy.

The governor prayed for the gentle soul of the deceased to spare Al Jannatul Firdaus while asking the parents to seek enduring fortitude to bear the loss.

Meanwhile, the family of Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa received messages of condolence and consolation from various professional bodies and well-wishers during this sad moment.

Some of the groups include the Nigerian Union of Journalists, (NUJ) Kano State chapter, Nigerian Institutes of Public Relations (NIPR), Kano state council; National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Kano state chapter and Nigerian Association of Journalists Correspondent Chapel, Kano state.

The condolence message of the correspondent chapel signed by President Aminu Garko read in parts: “As we prepare to lay your son to rest, we pray that God will give you the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. “May the love and support from your family, friends and colleagues provide some comfort during this dark time.”

“As journalists, we understand the importance of family and the sacrifices made to serve the public. “Your son’s death is a reminder of the fragility of life and that every moment should be cherished with your loved ones.”

“We reaffirm our solidarity with you and your family in this time of grief. If there is anything we can do to support you, please do not hesitate to contact us. May your son’s soul rest in perfect peace and take comfort in the thought that he will never be forgotten.”
