NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – An investigation is ongoing after a woman was killed in a shooting in Antioch, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD).

Police said the fatal attack happened at 5 a.m. Sunday at an apartment on Apache Trail. At the scene, MNPD found a 35-year-old Nashville woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

The woman, whose name was not released, was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center but died there from her injuries.

“Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. MNPD said callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a $5,000 cash reward in homicide cases.
