Jaguars vs. Packers Live Game Plot

JACKSONVILLE — The Jacksonville Jaguars (2-5) return home to Everbank Stadium to battle the Green Bay Packers (5-2) on Sunday afternoon. The Jaguars look to keep the momentum going after their Week 7 win over the New England Patriots in London.

Remember the rule of five. If the Jacksonville Jaguars win this important statistical battle, it’s game over. For those who don’t remember, it’s about sacks and turnovers. If the Jaguars have three sacks and give up two, they are plus-one. If they commit four turnovers and only give up one turnover, they are plus three. This will give them plus four for the day. They want to reach plus-five odds in every game. On average, teams that hit the five-scenario rule win 91 percent of NFL games.

With last Sunday’s win, the Jaguars took last place in the AFC South, while the Tennessee Titans took that position with a 1-5 record. They currently sit at the bottom of the NFL overall standings, but a win against a talented Packers team could change the course of this season.

The Packers are off to a strong start, ranking in the top 10 in most offensive categories. Quarterback Jordan Love is tied for the league lead in interceptions (8) while also ranking second in the NFL in touchdown passes (15). If they keep winning games, they will take the good and the bad.

The Jaguars will need their best performance of the season to come out with a home win this week. Their second-worst pass defense must find a way to create turnovers and keep the Packers from making big plays on third down.

Offensively, the Jaguars should follow last week’s winning blueprint. Take advantage of rising star running back Tank Bigsby early and often while adding rookie wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr., who has developed into one of the best in the league. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence do his job hoping for a win.
