Shots were fired, guns were thrown out of the window: Police arrested 3 people after a high-speed chase

Fort Worth police arrested three people Wednesday after a gun was fired from a car during a chase that ended in Arlington.

Officers with the Fort Worth Police Department were parked near Glenwood Park when they observed a silver Nissan sedan pull into the park and stop.

One of the suspects got out of the vehicle and got back into the vehicle after firing a few shots.

When police teams tried to detain the suspect, the driver sped away and started a 15-minute chase.

The chase headed north onto South Riverside Drive before the suspects turned onto the Eastern Freeway toward Arlington.

A rifle was thrown from the vehicle during the chase.

The pursuit ended near the 1500 block of Eden Lane in Arlington, where the car came to a stop. Police detained 3 suspects at the scene.

The investigation continues.
