Singer criticized on social media for failed national anthem performance

He issued a larger apology on social media and explained the situation in more detail to his followers.

“I want to apologize to the amazing team at @FreeAndEqualElections, the incredible production team, and everyone who watched!” he wrote as the caption of a video in which he apologized on Instagram.

“I got there a little late and didn’t have a clear clue, which made me flustered when we went live! I know it wasn’t my best and I’m really sorry I didn’t hit the mark.”

“I take full responsibility on my part and ask that you do not use this incident to reflect on the artist I am and strive to be,” he wrote in the caption of his apologetic Instagram post. “I’m taking this as a lesson learned and can’t wait to come back even stronger!”

In the accompanying taped video, Loomis begged for forgiveness. “Please, please, please forgive me,” she said before dropping some advice. “Always turn lemons into lemonade and negatives into positives.”
