Mental health clinic celebrates first year of supporting Birmingham people and businesses

Located in the heart of historic Coleshill, the clinic supports people of all ages with a range of challenges including depression, anxiety, ADHD and autism through a range of assessments and psychological therapies.

In its first year, Purple House Clinic introduced local residents to its services, and in turn, the team was welcomed by the community. By providing mental health support to those who need it, the clinic has grown greatly and become a service valued by people of all ages, and there are no plans for Danielle to slow down anytime soon!

“After working in the NHS for many years, I decided to set up my own clinic. Across the UK there is significant demand for more accessible mental health support; This demand is increasing as waiting times increase and the criteria for accessing these services become more stringent. I knew I had the knowledge and resources to be a trustworthy and compassionate provider of mental health and neurodiversity services, and there was no better choice than the Purple House Clinic,” said Danielle.

Danielle and her team of experienced clinicians are extremely proud to have achieved, in just one year, something that has made such a positive impact on the Birmingham community and reflects the clinic’s strongly held values of providing person-centred support.

“By increasing the number of services available at Purple House Clinic Birmingham, we have quickly positioned ourselves as a trusted, full-service mental health services provider. I am proud to welcome a team of clinicians who are passionate about supporting the Birmingham community. Our shared passion is to offer a true depth of service so that our clients feel like they can come to us for any mental health support they need,” added Danielle.

“We saw the need for personal therapy sessions and are proud to be able to offer support from our clinic conveniently located on the outskirts of Birmingham. As clinicians, we recognize that mental health is not just a 9-to-5 struggle; By providing weekend, evening and online appointments, we can provide care as needed.”

Recently, the team of 12 associate clinicians at Purple House Clinic added autism evaluations to its comprehensive list of services. To support both adults and children facing long waiting lists, the clinic provides comprehensive assessments, appropriately followed by post-diagnostic support, such as understanding their diagnosis and treatment. The team hopes this will put people’s minds at ease knowing there is another, more accessible option.

“To celebrate what we achieved together last year, we held a cake and tea event to recognize everyone’s hard work. It was great to see everyone come together and take some time to reflect on our successes. “It felt like a real community that we’ve built in such a short time, and I’m looking forward to growing it even more.”

Over the next year, Purple House Clinic will focus significantly on improving its corporate wellbeing services, working with organizations to promote psychological wellbeing. There is a growing awareness of the importance of supporting mental health. By taking a holistic approach and working with organizations to understand the root causes of stress, burnout and fatigue, we can support our colleagues in implementing initiatives that create a culture in which they can thrive.

“Our plans to expand our workplace services are hugely motivating and we can’t wait to see what next year has in store. I hope that Purple House Clinic Birmingham will become the number one mental health provider in the area, able to help anyone seeking professional support,” concluded Danielle.
