A revival in the mining sector, fueled by an improving outlook for corporate profits, will take the Australian stock market to new highs next year, according to new forecasts from Morgan Stanley.

While the investment giant raises its forecast for benchmark S&The P/ASX 200 will end next year at 8,500 points, with the share market’s rally above 8,400 on Tuesday causing the gauge to briefly fall within just 0.6 per cent of its 2025 projection. The broker had previously tipped 8100.
