BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WALB) – The woman found dead in a Bainbridge apartment has been identified.

On Friday, November 15, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Bainbridge Public Safety requested assistance with a death investigation from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).

The GBI tells WALB that the body of 34-year-old Samantha Harrell was found near MLK Jr. He said he was found in his apartment at the Hutto-McIver Apartments in the 800 block of Drive.

GBI agents and BPS investigators are interviewing everyone who had contact with Harrell and examining evidence at the scene.

The GBI said an autopsy will be performed this week by the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office.
