SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) – A man arrested in connection with a fatal shooting pleaded not guilty Monday morning.

Jacub Carver was charged with one count of murder, attempted murder and aggravated assault.

Carver is currently being held on a $50,000 cash-secured bond.

According to Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman, the attack happened on Disterdick Lane in Green Township.

Sheriff Thoroughman said when deputies and detectives arrived, they found a male body behind the wheel of a Chevy Equinox with multiple bullet holes.

Detectives were able to identify the victim as Ronnie L. Rowe, 24, of South Shore, Kentucky.

A preliminary hearing is set for November 21.
