A man has been arrested and charged with murder after human remains were found in a Texas home linked to a missing person case.

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office reports that 27-year-old Michael Dean Davis Jr. was arrested and charged in Laredo, Texas, on November 12 in connection with the discovery of human remains found on October 22 at a property in Buffalo, Texas. release on Facebook.

An investigation into an adult and child reported missing on June 19 led to a search of the home, according to the release. The adult and child were last seen by their families in July 2022.

“On November 12, Michael Dean Davis Jr. was successfully arrested in Laredo on a charge of Murder and transported to the Webb County Jail,” the sheriff’s office said.

Davis received additional charges of endangering a child based on the poor condition of the home, according to the release.
