Ontario Provincial Police say an OC Transpo bus driver has been charged with careless driving following a three-vehicle crash on Highway 417 in Ottawa.

Police said the crash happened around 1pm on Sunday near Metcalfe Street. CTV Ottawa cameras show a bus, a pickup truck and a minivan were involved in the crash.

OPP spokesman Michael Fathi said minor injuries were reported but no one was taken to hospital.

The careless driving charge carries a $490 fine and six demerit points upon conviction.

Traffic remains in one lane on highway 417.

“Please proceed with caution as emergency crews are on scene,” police said.

An investigation is ongoing.
