Femi Adebayo’s Directorial Debut “Seven Doors” Explores Kingdom and Family Dynamics | Watch the Trailer

What happens when culture, history and drama intertwine? Femi Adebayo invites us to find out in his directorial debut, “Seven Gates.” This mini-series, which will premiere on Netflix on December 13, takes viewers to 18th and 19th century Nigeria; weaves intrigue with themes of love, power and tradition.

In “Seven Gates,” Femi Adebayo steps into the magnificent role of the Yoruba king. Chioma Akpotha She plays the Igbo queen and brings to life a story about royalty, kinship, family, love, betrayal and revenge. This union, a symbol of harmony, quickly turns into a battlefield when a Hausa investor arrives with plans that challenge the kingdom’s traditions. As the tension builds, the story begins to unravel against the backdrop of the cultural forces that shape their world.
