Lavale, MD – While traveling on the National Highway between Lavale and Frostburg on Monday, an Allegany County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a sedan exceeding the speed limit. The officer turned on his emergency lights to stop the vehicle, but the driver sped away.

The speeding vehicle lost control after crossing the yellow line and crashed into another vehicle. He continued towards Lavale, hit a curb and skidded through a business parking lot after losing his tires. The police detained the driver who tried to get out of the vehicle.

Joshua Fullwood, 19, of Aberdeen, MD, was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment and various traffic offenses. The road was partially closed to remove vehicles and clean the area.
