WWE Fans Take to Social Media with Concerns About Netflix After Tyson and Paul Fight

The anticipated boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul took place last night. Besides the match, the most talked about topic was the terrible streaming service provided by Netflix.

Netflix, one of the world’s largest streaming platforms, experienced numerous and repeated technical difficulties during the Paul/Tyson feud, resulting in long buffer times, screen freezes, and loading errors for viewers.

Users took to X and Bluesky with their complaints about the streaming service and voiced their concerns about the platform’s next arrival: WWE.

Earlier this year, WWE announced a new partnership with Netflix. The deal, which begins in January 2025, is a $5 billion, ten-year deal that brings Monday Night Raw to the platform for subscribers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Latin America.

Netflix will also host all premium live events, as well as all content for subscribers outside the US, including both Raw and “Friday Night SmackDown.”

Ari Emanuel, CEO of Endeavor, the parent company of WWE and UFC, spoke to Bloomberg This week it’s about the Netflix deal.

“You can see that Netflix wants to be in the live sports business in the streaming era. “I think they’re going to do very well,” Emanuel said. “Our research shows that there is a huge audience that is WWE fans, if not right now, there are Netflix subscribers, and they have a If they catch the part, it’s a big win for them and a big win for us.” (Switch to POST Wrestling)
