A WPTV news crew noticed the crime scene tape posted outside the New Disciples Worship Center.

Investigators said the two men were involved in some type of altercation before the shooting.

The victim’s family told WPTV News that the man killed was Brandon Rahming.

A neighbor said he heard the gunshot.

“I was in my room and all I heard were two gunshots,” he said. “It doesn’t sound like fire, so I didn’t mind it because the neighborhood is what I call it. I didn’t mind until a neighbor came and was able to park at my house. I noticed there were police in the driveway and then in the neighborhood.”

The Rahming family sent a statement to WPTV News saying in part:

“Our hearts are shattered today as we mourn the senseless and untimely murder of our beloved Brandon L. Rahming. Brandon was more than a victim; he was a cherished brother, a devoted son, and a devoted friend to many.”
