Married at First Sight bride Sionainn has finally revealed the big reason she abandoned the experiment early, leaving her husband Ryan in the lurch.

As millions watch reunion show Eager to unravel the mystery behind the couple’s split, the pair appear to have had a fierce argument over, you guessed it, shoelaces.

Speaking to relationship experts during last night’s consultation, Sionainn explained that it was a series of small petty arguments that led to the big rift.

He said: “It came to such a point that it was a very ridiculous argument, we started arguing over shoelaces. Then he told me that all his feelings were fake, that he didn’t mean any of them, and that I thought I’d done that too many times and wouldn’t do it again.

Ryan, sitting on the couch, then fired back: “A pathetic argument over a pair of shoes led to your participation in the experiment.” To this Sionainn replied: “But the sum of it was a lot of things.”

But viewers of the show seem unconvinced by his logic.

One person on Reddit said: “It’s that bad but it’s also not that bad.”

Another person suggested there may have been a cover-up. They said:

“What confuses me is that they were allowed to leave the show abruptly and the production team did not ask them for further participation. The production team seems pretty serious about having couples hang out there, even if things are terrible. But there was something different about these two. “I won’t speculate, but some kind of bad thing must have happened.”

And another viewer echoed those thoughts.

“I really hope nothing terrible happened, but that’s the only thing I can think of that explains their breakup.”

Scottish-born Sionainn also accused Ryan of flirting with the least popular bride, Hannah, but Hannah backed her up, saying: “Ryan has never flirted with me, I’ll just put that out there.”

Then Ryan said: “You told the rest of the group that I was such a bad person and I sat back and didn’t bite.”

Therapist Charlene Douglas said: “Do you find that you both tend to run away at the first sign of trouble?”

To which Sionainn replied: “I think I’m doing the opposite, holding on, and this time I’m not holding on.”

Last month the show ended with a bang, with Ryan and Sionainn deciding to quit the E4 show.

Although they initially seemed to get along well, their relationship quickly soured, leaving viewers confused and concerned.

Ryan said: “I’m breaking up with the kids. We had a serious argument and I was trying to tie my laces. I was trying to re-tie my laces and it was getting on my nerves. So Shannon was trying to help me. So I was like, ‘Oh, let it go, let it go.’

“And he said, ‘oh, don’t talk to me like that.’

“He told me he didn’t feel comfortable in the relationship and didn’t know if I was here for a real reason. “

Sionainn told the girls: “We had a bit of a falling out yesterday. And frankly he was talking really bad to me about his shoelaces.”

“And I said, ‘Ryan, don’t talk to me like that.’ You won’t talk shit to me.

“And suddenly it turned upside down. He decided to tell me that none of his feelings were real. He was making everything up. “Everything was a holiday romance for him.”

The heartbroken bride added in her caption to camera: “I developed real feelings for Ryan and when he told me all his feelings were fake and he didn’t mean anything he said.

“It felt like I had been hit in the chest with something. It was a terrible feeling. And I think I saw his true face now. I don’t even think I knew the real Ryan.”

Early in the experiment, viewers watched Sionainn I couldn’t stop shaking and she feared this might be due to an underlying problem in her marriage.

The couple explained to experts a misunderstanding they had; Sionainn revealed that Ryan reminded her of her ex-boyfriend, which prompted her to “panick” and run away.
