Rising Leader: How Does Brennan Godori Make a Difference with Parfums de Brennan?

When she was 12, Brennan Godi wasn’t planning on launching her own fragrance line. However, the accidental spill of his grandfather’s perfume bottle ignited a fascination that would last for years. A complex blend of oud, amber, musk and vanilla, this lasting scent left an unforgettable impression on the young Dallasite and sparked curiosity about the world of scent.

Five years later, 17-year-old Godi has turned his childhood curiosity into a full-fledged brand. Brennan PerfumesIt has a mission as different as the first unisex fragrance “Pure Dreams”. Balancing high school with running her startup, Godi’s determination to make an impact in her community is as strong as her passion for fine perfume.

Godi’s goal for Parfums de Brennan was clear from the beginning: “Above all, I knew I wanted an exquisite, high-quality and different kind of perfume,” he says. He wanted his first product, Pure Dreams, to stand out, a “real perfume” with the highest concentration of oils, designed to appeal to everyone. Driven by his vision, Godi saved money for three years, took on various jobs to finance his first order, and even traveled to Grasse, France, the world capital of perfume, to learn from some of the best in the industry.

He studied under the guidance of one of the best “noses” at a historic perfume house in France. This experience was life-changing as he learned firsthand the art of fragrance making. “I spent the better part of a year testing over 40 different scents, and at the end of each day, I had a winner every day among Gen Z buyers.” After rigorous testing and countless focus groups, Grasse arrived at the unique blend of rose, vanilla, oud, amber and musk that would eventually become Pure Dreams; This fragrance is described as “an experience for both men and women.”

Supporting Jonathan’s Place was an easy choice for Godi, whose global experiences have introduced him to the challenges faced by children in different parts of the world. Growing up, she frequently traveled to visit family in New Orleans, Brazil, and Europe, which gave her an awareness of social inequalities. “I was very moved to see abandoned children in Brazil without any government assistance,” he says. This eye-opening experience motivated him to do something when he realized there were similar problems in North Texas.

Godi’s connection to Jonathan’s Place began with volunteer work. “I completely fell in love with its mission,” he says. “I wish every child had the experience of being born into a wonderful, loving, multicultural family like mine. Unfortunately, this is not the truth.” For Godi, creating a scent that could also increase social impact was a way to turn his passion into purpose. “Just volunteering wasn’t enough,” he says. “I felt like I needed to do more.”

In keeping with this dedication, Godi dedicated 100 percent of the profits from Pure Dreams to Jonathan’s Place, ensuring that its first fragrance launch would support a cause close to its heart. “Seeing firsthand the difference Jonathan’s Place makes solidified my decision to support it with my first fragrance,” she explains. “It is an honor to contribute to an organization so close to my values, especially one that provides children with the support every child deserves.”

Through Parfums de Brennan, Godi hopes that those who use Pure Dreams will feel connected to a purpose larger than themselves. “I want people to know that they’re not just wearing a premium perfume, they’re part of something much bigger,” she says.

He gives the following advice to other young people with big goals: “If you have a dream, follow it. Nothing comes easy. It takes time, perseverance and dedication.”

Godi emphasizes the importance of mentors in his journey and notes how they fuel his vision and confidence. Still, he reminds would-be changemakers: “If you want something done, you have to make it happen yourself.” For Godi, Parfums de Brennan is more than a brand; It is a testament to boldly dreaming, working hard and creating change.
