FANNIN COUNTY, Texas (KXII) – One person died in a crash in Fannin County Thursday morning.

The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. on Hwy 56 near FM 87, west of Bonham, according to Lt. Frank Deater of the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said five people were taken to hospital and four were taken by helicopter.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, but officials at the scene said a vehicle was seen crossing the center line.

Highway 56 is still closed at this time.
