MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A grand jury is preparing to hear the case of the man accused of shooting to death a beloved Collierville doctor in 2023.

A judge found enough probable cause to send the murder case against him Larry Pickens It will be presented to the grand jury on Thursday.

Pickens remains in jail on $1.2 million bail.

Pickens is charged in the July 2023 shooting death Dr. Benjamin Mauckorthopedic surgeon at Campbell Clinic in Poplar.
