RCSD: 2 prisoners were stabbed after an argument in the prison

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Richland County deputies say two inmates were attacked and stabbed during an attack at the jail.

Deputies said they responded to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center about the shooting on Saturday, Nov. 9, around 4 p.m.

When deputies arrived at the jail, they learned that inmates Joshua Bell, Fredrick Hunter and Willie Morton were involved in a violent altercation and attacked two other inmates.

RCSD said the investigation revealed that inmates were not under supervision at the time of the incident.

Two prisoners were injured with a knife during the attack.

One of the victims was taken to a local hospital for treatment, while the second victim was treated in prison.

Inmates Joshua Bell, Frederick Hunter and Willie Morton are charged with assault and battery, a crime aggravated in nature and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
