ABC’s anti-Trump bias problem goes MUCH deeper than Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin and ‘The View’

Donald Trump’s stunning victory has caused the establishment media to desperately re-evaluate its “Abandon all principles to elect Democrats” strategy.

This is a start.

ABC News is in post-November panic mode, trying to rig the presidential debate it’s hosting by fact-checking Trump and repeatedly letting Kamala Harris slide. 5.

Whoopi Goldberg blamed inflation on grocery store owners. Appearance

C-suite executives are trying to bring in more conservative voices — and the No. 1 action item is to counterbalance the leftist frenzy voiced by hosts on the popular daytime show “The View.”

These include Whoopi Goldberg blaming inflation on grocery store owners, whom she calls “pigs,” calling out racist Sunny Hostin and telling people to cut off their loved ones if they vote for Trump, and blaming “uneducated white women” for his victory.

And this has only happened in the last few weeks.

Yes, the show features token rights holders Alyssah Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro, but they’re reliably anti-Trump.

So it’s good news that administrators on the network are trying to equalize the situation.

The thing is, the problem isn’t “Appearance”.

Sure, it’s annoying when C-listers create a coup-friendly coffee klatch.

Yes, they are oblivious elitists: witness Goldberg’s recent laments about having to work to live.

(ABC must have stocked the locker room snacks incorrectly. Or maybe the limo driver wasn’t practicing enough.)

But “The View” is a talk show, not a news program.

And ABC’s real problem is, news scope. This one leans as much to the left as Sunny and Whoopi.

Anyone who has seen Ron Burgundy-like antics in debate knows this.

Anyone who has watched any ABC news in the last eight years knows this.

So be sure to bring a smart, funny, pro-Trump woman; There are lots of options to choose from.

But then apply this unbiased thinking to the network as a whole – who knows?

You can really begin to repair the public’s shattered trust in journalism.
