Mick Brown announced that Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson is included in Liverpool and Manchester United’s squad, but he does not believe he will be sold in January.

Robinson has shown himself to be a very talented left-back in attack during his time in the Premier League. Now in his fourth season, he has only had one season without an assist and has had at least three assists in the last two seasons.

This has seen some big clubs linked with him and after working on his defensive ability, former Premier League scout Brown thinks the Fulham man could make a big move with Liverpool and United interested.

“I think Robinson is a really good player,” Brown said. Football Insider.

“If there’s ever been an example of a player improving, it’s him. At one stage there were big questions about his defensive abilities. But he’s improved in that area and his progress is very dangerous.

“I’ve heard that a number of clubs are keeping tabs on him after his performances so far this season. Some of the Premier League’s top clubs have been eyeing him for a while but the interest has only increased due to his current style of play.

“He is one of the leading candidates for any team looking to sign a left-back. I can count Manchester United and Liverpool among them. I’m not sure if they will make a move, but they are among the clubs pursuing him.

“From what I’ve heard, Fulham won’t let him leave in January anyway, so if that happens it won’t happen until the end of the season.”

Liverpool and United have other options

While Robinson is among the left-back targets of Liverpool and United, other Premier League stars are also on the list in both clubs.

TEAMtalk recently revealed: The Reds are expected to make an offer for Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez In 2025, Cherry was aware that offers could come in January.

Sources also suggest United are keen on the Hungary national team.

With Bournemouth aware he could receive an offer in January, Kerkez may be more likely to be transferred by one of the big clubs in the winter, leading to both initially courting Robinson.

However, if either Liverpool or United land Kerkez in January, the other could wait for Robinson in the summer when there is less competition.

Man Utd summary: Battle for big name

United have former Manchester City player Leroy Sane in their squad but Arsenal will give them competition for his signature.

The Red Devils also have Norwegian starlet Sverre Nypan on their radar and TEAMtalk is aware of this Interest from Chelsea, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmundmore.

United have also been offered the chance to sign Pablo Barrios from Atletico Madrid, but that would require giving up Alejandro Garnacho, something the Red Devils have no interest in doing.

But United could give up on Joshua Zirkzee just months into his spell at Old Trafford, according to reports Sporting CP could be offered a player-plus-cash deal for Viktor GyokeresIncluding the Dutch striker.

Robinson’s attacking form

Robinson has come into his own at Fulham over the last few seasons.

The American left-back has made 10 assists in 111 Premier League matches, nine of which have come in the last two seasons.

He made six assists in the league last season and has already made three assists this season.

In a better system at United or Liverpool, Robinson would have a greater say in his club’s attacking returns.
