CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – An East Cleveland police officer was found guilty of multiple crimes following a jury trial scheduled for sentencing Thursday in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court; but continued until January 2025.

McInnes was one of 11 former or current East Cleveland police officers charged by a Cuyahoga County Grand Jury in March 2023 on allegations of civil rights violations and public corruption.

The alleged crimes occurred between February 2020 and July 2022 and involved multiple victims, according to Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley.
